Becoming a Person of Influence

Human being are the basis of life. Without effective communication with our fellow humans one cannot become successful.
If you want to succeed in life, you must learn how to connect with others. Connection is the key to influence with people.

To connect with people is the ability to relate with people in such a way that your ability to influence them increases with ease.

 If you want to become a person of influence, first, you have to work on yourself. There has to be something in you that you intend on influencing people with. These are your values, your skills, the amount of knowledge you've acquired, your experiences, etc.

Secondly, for you to have influence in the society, you need to be a people person.

Therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you. Matt 7 : 12

Attitude

 To become a people person, you need to be approachable, confident, charismatic. You need to be someone people can look up to as a model. You need to be able to motivate people. If your goal is to become influential, you need to get rid of any self-centered attitude. Acknowledge and show interest in others.

Genuine Motives

One important factor we should possess if we want to be influential in our societies is genuineness. Be sure that your motives to influencing people are positive. Be genuine in your words and actions as well.

Believing In Yourself

You should also know that in order for you to influence people around you positively you have to first believe in yourself, be confident in yourself. You can't expect people to believe in you when you have not believed in yourself.

The way you Treat Others

You also have to treat people with respect. People tend to trust you when you treat then with respect.

* Smile regularly and consistently. Smiling is a key way to make people feel accepted and relaxed around you.
